# Dashboard overview
> Understand the VCore home page, including header icons, KPI tiles, and quick access panels
The VCore home page is your starting point each time you log in. It provides KPI tiles for at-a-glance monitoring, quick access panels for common tasks, and header icons that give you shortcuts to messages, feature releases, and performance indicators from anywhere in the system.
Your organisation's name is displayed in the top-left corner. Clicking it from any page returns you to the home page and refreshes the data.
## Header icons
The top-right corner of the header contains several icons that are available on every page in VCore:
| Icon | What it does |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Information** (i) | Opens the Visualcare knowledge base for help with system functionality |
| **KPI dial** | Opens the key performance indicators panel from anywhere in VCore, not just the home page |
| **Gift box** | Shows new feature releases. A green notification number appears when there are unread updates. Click to see details and instructions for new features |
| **Speech bubble** | Alerts you to new messages from workers (sent via the Vworker app) or clients (sent via the vAboutMe app). Click to open and reply to messages |
## Product feedback
The Ideas Portal lets you submit product improvement ideas directly from VCore.
To access it, click the **Gift box** icon and select **Product Feedback**.
From the portal you can:
* **Submit a new idea** by clicking **New Idea** and completing the form (area, sub-area, feature type, title, problem description, and frequency of use)
* **Track your submissions** under **My Ideas**, where each idea shows a status: Open, Under Review, Complete, or Closed

## KPI tiles
The home page displays KPI tiles that summarise activity across your organisation. Each tile shows a count that updates as new data comes in. Click a tile to drill into the detail.
Key KPI tiles include:
| Tile | What it shows |
| --------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Incidents** | Unread incident submissions. See [Incident tile on home page](/incidents/incident-tile-on-home-page) |
| **App Notes** | Unread notes submitted from the Vworker app. The count decreases as notes are marked as read |
| **Worker Compliance** | Number of expired worker compliance items |
| **Client Compliance** | Number of expired client compliance items |
Check the KPI tiles at the start of each day to stay on top of new incidents, unread notes, and expiring compliance items.
## Quick access panels
Below the KPI tiles, the home page includes several quick access panels:
* **Search** for workers, clients, or client rosters directly from the home page
* **Shift map** showing today's shift locations on a map, colour-coded by status (not started, completed, not finished). Hover over a pin to see shift details
* **Tasks** assigned to you or your team
* **Unallocated shifts** that still need a worker assigned
* **Running shifts** currently in progress
* **Shift information** summary for the day
